Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CardChase, Inc. (“CardChase,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use CardChase (the “Service”). We built CardChase to work from your own accounts on your behalf, so we access only what we need to do that job.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, business name, email, and sign-in details.
- Failed-charge and customer data— from the Stripe Billing account you connect: the amount and currency of a failed charge, the decline code and the issuer’s advice code, the card brand and last four digits, the subscription and invoice identifiers, and the customer’s name, email and subscription value. We never see or store a card number — Stripe holds the payment method and executes the retry against it.
- Sending data — when you connect a domain (Resend) or a mailbox (Microsoft 365), the address the note goes out from and the notes CardChase has drafted and sent about a failed charge, so the ledger can show what left and when.
- Usage data — basic information about how you use the Service, used to keep it running and improve it.
How we use it
- To find failed subscription charges, schedule retries against them on the ladder you set, and run those retries on your own Stripe Billing account.
- To draft the note to the customer in your voice and send it from the address you connect, once you have approved it.
- To decide when to STOP — reading the decline code, the issuer’s advice code and the network response code so a permanently declined card is never retried again.
- To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your customer or billing data to train models for anyone else.
Connected accounts
When you connect a third-party account, you authorize CardChase to access it through that provider’s official interface, using the narrowest permissions the feature needs. You can disconnect an integration at any time from your settings, which stops future access.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate CardChase (such as hosting and payment processing) under agreements that protect it, or when required by law. The notes you approve are sent to the customer on the failed charge, and to nobody else.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit access to what each feature requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email us at hello@thecompound.tech.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to run the site and understand usage. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
